The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine supersonic multirole fighter aircraft developed for the United States Air Force (USAF). Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. 

The Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon Aircraft Maintenance Platform was designed with direct input from aircraft service technicians. This full wrap around platform offers full fall protection and enhanced worker safety without obstructing the maintenance process. Featuring a heavy duty 1,000 lbs. capacity made of FRP Composite construction. The FRP Composite F-16 Full Wrap Maintenance Platform conforms to, meets and exceeds all OSHA and ANSI requirements. This platform is easily mobile when necessary and securely locked in place during maintenance procedures.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Our Composite F-16 Maintenance Stand is a unique fall protection platform system. Offering an unparalleled combination of maneuverability, fall protection, and storage, these Maintenance Stands allow for aviation maintenance crews to accomplish a wide variety of tasks.

Our engineers worked specifically with maintenance personnel of the USAF to develop and design a customized set of fall protection stands for the F-16. Every aspect of the platforms including the modular nature of the stand and it’s ability to interact with other stands in the set allow users to gain work efficiency by bringing the optional electricity, compressed air, and storage space to the platform. 

Each modular platform is easily maneuvered by 1-2 personnel because of its lightweight and polyurethane coated casters. The tough iron core of the casters and its unique design allows it to be fully transported by truck and easily set up in minutes by 2 personnel.

The guardrails are removable and interchangeable while providing fall protection and OSHA compliant safety. All of the walking surfaces are equipped with anti-slip surfaces to help minimize any slips or falls. The individually operated extension sliders equipped with rubber padding allow for the user to custom fit each stand to the aircraft. The F-16 Full Wrap Platform is one of the most sturdiest designs on the market. It’s made to withstand the beating that maintenance personnel dish out!

RADOME AREA MAINT STAND (Cockpit stands) (1ea, L and R sides)

FORWARD WING MAINT STAND (Leading Edge Stands) (1ea, L and R sides)

AFT WING MAINT STAND (Trailing Edge Stands) (1ea, L and R sides)
• Dimensions: Height Adjustable: 80” - 110” x 48”W x  140”
• Built-in jacks to allow manual adjustment
• Stand sections which are designed to be adjacent are equipped with a tool-free means of securing the stands together when the deck surfaces are at the same height.

FEATURES OF ALL STANDS:
• Minimum load capacity: 1,000 lbs. per stand.
• Heavy duty composite construction
• All stands include fork truck pockets.
• Any and all sharp edges will be rounded and de-burred.
• All hardware used will be self-locking due to FOD potential.

• All surfaces that may come in contact with the aircraft are padded with poly foam bumpers. 
• Each stand has a minimum of (4) HD locking swivel casters with 8" wheels and total locking brakes.
• Articulating stairways allow the stair step/treads to remain parallel to the ground regardless of height.
• Handrails comply with OSHA and AFOSH Regulations for fall protection and are easily removable without tools.
• Heavy duty acme screw jacks and plates for height adjustment, with locking pins to secure platform height in 6" increments.
• Stands are fully mobile and independent of other sections and easily connected or disconnected from other stands without tools.
• Stands can be configured for wing/ stabilizer attached or wing/ stabilizer removed configurations. Sections forward of wing include corner transition section for use in the wing/stabilizer attached configuration.

Minimum Safety Specs:
• OSHA 29 CFR 1910 compliant.
• All electrical system components and circuits will be in accordance with NFPA 70 of Nat Elec code.
• Stands should be corrosive resistant and contain an identification plate and meet or exceed safety and design requirements as required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and AFOSH 91-203.

- Travel, lodging, salary, incidentals, and other associated costs/ labor hours for: Personnel to accompany the first delivery, and any material/ equipment/ labor costs for correcting any failures to meet the requirements of the Performance Specification (Appendix A) at no cost to the government. This shall include but is not limited to design changes along with associated work stand modifications and documentation updates, shipping and/or travel required to correct deficiencies.
